Denson, Al Al Denson has been a leading light in the music
ministry as a singer and songwriter for over
twelve years. Having performed for more than
two million teenagers in youth rallies and
festivals, Al has established a rapport with
America's young people that is without equal.
In 1994 he won the Gospel Music Association Dove
Award for Choral Collection Album of the Year for
Al Denson Presents the Youth Chorus Book, Volume
II. His CDs include Be the One, Take Me to the Cross (which has a companion devotional from Tyndale by the same title), and Tabula Rasa. Al also has a weekly teen television talk show, Studio 828, which airs on FamNet affiliate
stations. Many times he has been the featured
performer with Billy Graham, Franklin Graham,
and Dawson McAllister. And he has twice hosted
Youth for Christ's Congress on Youth Evangelism.
In early 1998 a series of enthusiastically
received high school concerts helped Al recognize
the Lord's leading down a new pathway. He now
does as many as three high school assemblies a
day, speaking and singing to around 4,500 teens
each of those days. Making it clear that he is
a Christian, Al invites the young people to an
evening concert, where he is able to speak fully
about his faith. The free evening shows average
around 3,000 young people.
Al and his wife, Tracie, live in Dallas, Texas,
where they attend Las Colinas Fellowship.
